2017-18 Wind Ensemble/Marching Band Auditions

Colorguard Auditions May 22-26
We are seeking 25-30 students for our fall colorguard marching season. We are looking for students who want to learn ballet and modern contemporary dance technique, flag/rifle technique. We are also seeking 7 positions for our new shield line for parade. This is open to all 2017-18 high school students regardless of experience. Please contact Mr. Gaspar for more information. 

Wind Ensemble

Under the direction of Mr. Jonathan P. Gaspar, the Orosi High School Wind Ensemble is the premiere band representing the music department at Orosi High School. The Wind ensemble enrolls the most proficient wind and percussion players from Orosi High School. The Wind Ensemble prides itself in diversity as one of the largest and oldest student organizations on campus. The Wind Ensemble is one of the most diverse group of students that represent athletics, AVID, leadership, FFA as well as every academy at Orosi High School.
 
An annual participant in the CMEA large group festival, the Wind Ensemble has received Superior and Excellent rating in it's 50+ years of history. In the past, the Wind ensemble has performed in music festivals throughout the state. The Wind Ensemble performs in the music department annual concert series which includes the Winter Spectacular, Pre-Festival Concert and the Spring Pops Concert.

A tradition of excellence, the Orosi Cardinal Band and Guard boasts a long history of success. As one of the oldest organizations on campus, the Cardinal Band has hundreds of accolades including sweepstakes awards and first place finishes. Making yearly appearances in local parades and competitions, the Cardinal Band performs at every home football game and several sporting events.
